Sangaia fundamentally rejects the arbitrary classifications used by other nations to divide people. We do not filter applicants based on race, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, or lineage.

Pathways to Citizenship

1. Birthright
Be born on Sangaian Land.
2. Parentage
Have Sangaian Parents or Parents with Sangaian Citizenship.
3. Naturalization
Pass the Citizenship test and the Literacy test to become naturalized.
4. Sponsorship
Direct Aeretocratic Sponsorship.

Test Prep - Citizenship

You can easily prepare for the citizenship test. Here's what we reccomend you do:

  • Study the constitution of Sangaia thoroughly.
  • Ensure you remember the terminology used in the constitution.
  • Memorize the numbers provided in the constitution that detail amounts of civic employees.
  • Don't second-guess yourself.

Test Prep - Literacy

Words are hard, but not when you know the context. Here's what we reccomend you do:

  • Study the sentence structure of your language choice thoroughly.
  • Memorize verbage and how to address people based on status (if applicable).
  • If you do not remember the meaning of a word, break it down into its root word.
  • Think about how your 70-year-old teacher would say it.

What to do next

After submitting your application, your file will undergo a rigorous review by the Ministry of Domestic Affairs. Please follow these next steps:

1. Await Digital Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation packet via secure email within 48 hours containing your unique tracking ID.
2. Prepare Verification Documents
Gather your birth certificate, identification, and any other documents that may be requested by the clerk.
3. Track Your Progress

Quick Facts

You must complete any literacy test provided by the Sangaian Government to gain citizenship. Any literacy test that claims to certify Sangaian Language or English literacy that is not from this site is illegitimate.

You could just check the json file in the github project to find out what step of the citizenship process you're in, but it's way more fun to view it on this page.

As soon as you get citizenship, you can vote in any upcoming election if you are of the age of majority as referenced in the Constitution. You do not need to apply for anything; it does all the work for you!

You do not need to be fluent in Sangaian to gain citizenship. As long as you can read, write, and speak a sufficient amount of any official language declared by the Constitution, you're good to go.
