The Face of Sangaia
The Aeretocrat is not a ruler in the traditional sense, but more of a guardian of the Constitution. The title derives from the Greek arete (virtue) and kratos (power), signifying a governance structure rooted in moral excellence rather than political might.
In Sangaia, the law is supreme. The Aeretocrat’s primary duty is to ensure that the Provincial Councils adhere strictly to the Constitution. They possess the power of veto against any legislation that contradicts our founding principles, but they cannot draft new laws themselves.
"True leadership is the discipline to enforce the law even when it limits one's own power. We build not for the next election, but for the next century."
